Meet the Founder
Enchanted Hope Foundation was founded by author, advocate, and mother Sarah Bankuti.
After her young daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumor, Sarah searched for children’s books that reflected her family’s experience. She wanted stories that acknowledged the realities of treatment while offering hope, courage, and reassurance.
When she couldn’t find the books her family needed, she decided to write them herself.
What began as one story has grown into a collection of books and a nonprofit dedicated to supporting children facing serious illnesses and the families who love them.
Today, Sarah continues to write, advocate, and expand Enchanted Hope Foundation’s mission, inspired by the belief that every child deserves stories that help them feel understood, included, and empowered.

Why Representation Matters
Stories have the power to shape how children see themselves.
