My daughter Lily lost her hair this year during chemo. She was so excited to read this book and her and her little brother were captivated the whole time. As a mom the book brought me to (happy) tears and for my warrior daughter it left her with a smile on her face. I’m buying some for my local hospital and would recommend it for friends of cancer warriors as well!

my daughter is 4 & was diagnosed with leukemia earlier this year. i was giving the first book from this collection & thought it was so beautiful & well written, so much that we had to get the rest of the books! tbh, i cried while reading “princess lily earns her beads” but my daughter loves these so much & is always pulling them from her shelf!

Beautiful book to read to children who are losing their hair. The hair fairy is such a great idea! Helping kids to see the whole experience in a different way, especially that it presents that the hair is being used to make fairy dust! I read it with the three children in my care and it normalised losing hair for them, helping them to know about this and be more compassionate when they meet children with no hair. They even wanted to lose their hair!

What another fantastic book in the Princes Lily series by the author Sarah Bankuti! My granddaughter who is nearly 3 years old is on chemo and it is expected that she could start to lose her hair so this book will definitely help her to cope with it. The book takes young ones on an adventure to see what hair fairies do with hair that they collect. If anyone is in this horrendous situation I definitely recommend that you buy this book as it will definitely help young ones to cope with losing their hair

This book about Lily meeting the courageous and colourful Zoah the Warrior is beautifully written, dealing with the very difficult subject of childhood cancer in a powerful and accessible way, to make children understand, and to give those undergoing the same experience incredible messages to help them in their journey. The notion that strength is multi-dimensional and that true bravery might be different from what we traditionally understand is so important for all kids - and especially those dealing with cancer - to understand and appreciate. Zoah the Warrior is a truly inspirational character - fun, strong, caring, insightful and wise. The illustrations are lovely and perfect with the text. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is a beautiful book for children of all ages to gain a better understanding of life and that things may not always be smooth sailing and that people, including children can get very sick, and can also be incredibly strong and battle through difficult times. We love it X

Sarah Bankuti paints a magical fairy tale about princess Lilly as she bravely faces the complex world of childhood cancer. The story is beautifully written and accessible for kids of all ages. As a fellow parent of a child experiencing cancer, my heart warmed as Lilly earned her bravery beads. My family and I can't wait to follow Lilly on the next leg of her journey. Thank you Sarah for writing this important book for all our brave warriors walking this path with Lily.

nyone who has had a bad dream can relate to this story, but this little girl is fighting a much bigger monster. I love that she not only leaned do face her fears, but used laughter to battle the monsters. It is an important message for kids to know that laughter is good medicine whether we’re facing imaginary monsters or illness. This endearing story raises awareness for childhood cancer.

What a sweet, uplifting story! I loved the charming illustrations and that the real-life brave, creative and wise Zoah the Warrior was honoured in this book. Young readers learn that even warriors get sick and scared but their hearts and minds stay strong and brave. Perfect book for children going through cancer or other life-threatening illnesses.
